With a publicity value of nearly $2 million across thousands of media hits (and counting), the grand opening year of the record-breaking SkyBridge attraction at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park was a public relations success story—and certainly one that the Designsensory PR team is proud of.
PR efforts netted substantial coverage in local, state, niche and prominent national outlets in the months leading up to the grand opening and the event period, and the media hits continue to populate in our media monitoring service. The “Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge in North America” was featured in People Magazine, USA Today, CNN, CBS Evening News, Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and NBC Nightly News—to name a few.
As the Public Relations firm for Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, we’ve worked with journalists and bloggers across the nation to coordinate site visits, including the producer for CBS Evening News, assistant editor for Cooking With Paula Deen, editor for Birmingham Magazine and more. The list doesn’t even include the dozens of media outlets that our PR Team assisted at the grand opening event. (You can read more about that in the next project.)
The SkyBridge is now an iconic, fundamental part of downtown Gatlinburg, and we plan to keep the excitement alive and momentum moving forward with our continued public relations partnership with Boyne Resorts and Gatlinburg SkyLift Park.
