Building a regional framework with websites.
Blount Partnership websites encompass opportunities for commercialization, small business, manufacturing and technology, with a goal of heightening global awareness for the region. The sites promote mixed-use communities such as Pellissippi Place, promote tourism in one of the most celebrated natural landscapes in the world: Great Smoky Mountains National Park, pay homage to local artisans and represent the Chamber of Commerce.
On the Partnership landing page, Designsensory used full-screen hero images and created an easy-to-navigate portal for the sites: SmokyMountains.org, BlountChamber.com and BlountIndustry.com. The Media Room houses photography and PDFs of recent articles, easily accessible to the press.
The clean, modern websites translate well for site visitors using mobile devices. Designsensory’s content management system, DSXpress, offers the ability to add and edit on the fly and upload photos, video and audio. Real-time statistics are available without logging into Google Analytics. Social media tools are accessible on any page.
Emphasizing increased awareness of member business and area events, the newly designed websites serve as sources for economic development information for the county.
Because each of the entities comprising the Blount Partnership have somewhat different needs and goals for visitors' online experiences, an insightful and calculated approach was established to guide detailed planning throughout the process.
Distinct segments include area businesses, residents, tourists and civic leaders.
A portal, 4 sibling sites, vendor integration, chamber API, social media updates, and ease of editing were a few of the project challenges.
Many alliances are taking place across the country, but few have succeeded at establishing a strong, unified digital presence.
