Tourism Ecommerce Website

Client :Apple Barn

The family farm asked us to help increase sales and website traffic with a dynamic digital experience that shares the Apple Barn story and encourages visitors to buy brand offerings.

Insight

Qualitative consumer research, a system usability test, and UX testing revealed that most users weren’t returning to the website. Opportunities to improve website performance and traffic included making the platform more visually compelling, interactive and informative.

Approach

We built an easy-to-use, welcoming website connecting customers to the delicious products and educating them about the farm’s fascinating history. We highlighted Apple Barn’s homegrown products with mouthwatering photography and added a dynamic product shop page and family recipes to drive sales.

The new layout, complete with hand-drawn designs, an illustrated timeline of the brand’s growth, and welcoming photography of families and other guests enjoying the destination captured the warm atmosphere. We also added an interactive map to showcase the breadth of activities offered, including wine and cider tastings, orchard tours, dining, shopping and more. The refreshed AppleBarnCiderMill.com creates an immersive experience, raising brand awareness and encouraging returning customers.
