Mary is a creative, collaborative and persuasive brand manager who understands client service.

With a background in brand development, Mary has extensive experience in strategic analysis, new product development, new business growth, project management and partnership development. In all of her work, from tourism marketing to new product development, she focuses on excellent client service. She earned her Tourism Marketing Professional certification from Southeast Tourism’s Marketing College, in 2020.

Experience:

Mary came to Designsensory from AMG Solutions, where she served as director of marketing operations, leading cross-functional teams in the business planning and procurement process for customers launching products in the marketplace. In her role, she performed all aspects of project management, from concept research and development to sales, celebrity endorsements, communications and performance tracking.

Prior to AMG, Mary was vice president of client services for Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation, and Knoxville CVB, where she collaborated with members of the community to craft unique experiences for visitors. She directed consulting, logistical and operational planning for events which brought 70,000-80,000 visitors to Knoxville, annually. Through community partnerships, she developed revenue streams, designed and implemented training programs for over 2,000 Knoxville ambassadors. 

She has served as the project chair for the statewide Tennessee Trails and Byways program, and sat on many boards, councils and professional groups. She is currently on the marketing advisory council for Hospitality Tennessee and a board member for the Southeast Tourism Society. She developed leadership skills and team guidance in her time with the Governor’s Conference on Tourism, the Greater Knoxville Attractions & Museum Council and the Southeast Festivals & Events Association. 

Outside of Work:

When she isn’t cheering on the Lady Vols, Mary loves spending time with her family, or indulging in retail therapy on a shopping trip. Mary is happiest on a flight to who-knows-where or doing absolutely anything to stay busy and learn through others’ journeys.
