From storytelling to exploring the best local gems, Lindsay’s creativity flows through her veins both professionally and personally.

Influencing public opinion has a lot of power, and Lindsay channels this power to connect people, create beautiful things and promote economic development. In the pursuit of introducing meaning to modern research, writing and PR, she shifts gears from her business development side to creative communications daily.

Experience:

In 2022, Lindsay graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, having earned her Bachelor of Science in public relations and minor in business administration. She was named a 2022 Volunteer of Distinction. During college, she served as an Investor Relations and Experience Intern for the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, editing the Choose Knoxville Visitor’s Guide, producing a newsletter that reached 2,000+ investors, and assisting in local program event planning. She met key officials and maintained a CRM of nearly 4,000 investors. Lindsay brought this experience over to Omega Technical Services, a U.S. Department of Energy nuclear deterrence subcontractor, as their Communications Specialist before she was promoted to Communications Director.

In her role, she recruited new employees, pitched press releases which got published by WATE 6 and WVLT, represented the company at industry events, wrote strategic plans and business proposals, and spearheaded logo and website rebranding initiatives. During her time there, she established Omega’s partnership with the UTK Institute of Industrial and System Engineers (IISE) Club, built an internship program with East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC) and arranged Omega’s SBA Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Certification. She was named a finalist for the 2023 Oak Ridge Young Professional of the Year award and became an Ambassador for the ETEC Membership Committee and Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce.

Ready to dive deeper into her business-oriented mindset and affinity for reading and writing, Lindsay decided to pursue a less technical line of work and pivot to the advertising world. On her quest to gain broad experiences in a creative space and experience agency life, she met the Designsensory team and was drawn to our culture and mission. She discovered an opportunity to communicate with stakeholders, develop new business and use her communication skills to promote industries she believes in. Determined to build connections and spark creativity, Lindsay accepted our offer to become Marketing Coordinator. In her time here, she aims to write proposals that elevate clients’ impact, our brand, and new business partnerships; champion positive initiatives and tap into our famous Cocktail Club. She’s excited to add to the team’s bandwidth and help us expand our capabilities while refining her project management, strategy, writing and business development skills.

Outside of Work:

When she’s out-of-office, you can often catch her reading, freelance copywriting, feng shui-ing her place or swimming at the lake with family. The Word Wizard is your go-to girl for drafting breakup texts, witty one-liners and freelance copywriting. She loves taking her dog Jack for hikes, exploring Knoxville’s hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and brewery-hopping with her boyfriend, John.
