Innovative Branding
The South Carolina Commerce Office of Innovation realized early on that innovation is driven by the collective minds that take part in connecting and collaborating. They needed to build a brand that pays homage to South Carolina as an innovative state in the past and present, while also looking forward to where the state is going and how it is fostering incubators and big ideas. The flexible system is modified for the website and content, very often aiding the visuals to help users find information more quickly. Additional iconography acts as an accent to calls to action and important information. We rounded it out with an informative tagline to help new users understand the goals and objectives of the brand: “South Carolina Innovation Hub.”

Video & Podcast Production
At a high level, our teams wanted to set up episodic, ongoing conversations about and with people. Of Note is a podcast on innovation and highlights some of the most interesting business minds in the Palmetto State. Hosted by our own Joseph Nother and Laura Corder of the Office of Innovation, the series provides listeners with stories of innovation, funding, entrepreneurship, growth and more. We ultimately wanted our interviewees to share what did and didn’t work for them in their careers, and it was important that those stories relate to a wide range of people — CEOs, startups, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, students and more.
