The American Advertising Federation of Knoxville’s Addy Awards has become an institution here at Designsensory. And while this year our team celebrated the 2021 Addys, themed “Beyond the ADmosphere,” virtually and from the comfort of the office — trading in suits and dresses for facemasks and jeans, ballrooms for conference rooms, drink tickets for to-go margaritas — quite a few things remained the same.
In 2020, our coworkers spent a lot more time at home and in the kitchen. So if you’re like us, you’ll enjoy this little holiday recipe with a twist.
Picture this: A crisp winter’s eve announces itself with plunging temperatures and softening light. The fireplace is roaring, beating back the forces of frost outside. You curl up on the couch with a mug of warm milk to watch your favorite — hold on. Warm milk? That won't do. You need a Hot Toddy.
Times are stressful, but one of the most important things we can do after a long day of work is to clear our minds and switch from “work-mode” to “chill-mode.” Finding that balance between work and home life is something we’ve all been dealing with. So, in order to keep us all sane – literally – we have some tips to help you recharge.
We’re stepping away from our typical agency news roundup, because right now, life is anything but typical. We aren’t traveling to big conferences and hosting group outings. We’re working from home. We are thinking of our friends and loved ones… and our clients. We are doing our best to navigate this unprecedented time and trying to spread a little cheer along the way.

There are a lot of challenges that come along with working from home for some—maintaining productivity, confusing conference calls, an insufficient work environment, you name it. But there is one challenge that you can’t overcome by adding a new conference line or second monitor and that’s maintaining your company culture.
The start of a new year is always an exciting time for us at Designsensory. We’re fresh off of some much-deserved time with our families and diving into new and exciting projects with our clients. 2020 isn’t just a new year—but a new decade. It’s hard to imagine anything topping our last ten years, but we have a good feeling about what’s on the horizon. Let’s start with the month of January, shall we? Read on to find out what we’re up to.
Our office will celebrate just about anything — birthdays, babies, big wins and big weddings. So the holidays are more than enough reason to keep that trend going. One Friday a month we all gather in the office around 5 o’clock to catch up, learn a little something and drink cocktails together.
‘Tis the season. To be thankful, that is. We have some of the best clients, the most talented employees and projects that are incredibly fulfilling. Let’s look back on some of our favorite moments in November so far—and ahead to the rest of the year.
