A community in a nutshell.
As part of its distressed counties initiative, the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development (TNECD) tasked Designsensory with creating anthem videos and still photography to promote 12 of the state’s economically distressed counties.
The goal was to provide a brief, thematic overview of each county for site selectors and corporations looking for a place to build, grow or relocate.
After visiting the counties and meeting with community leaders, we chose filming locations and businesses that represented each area’s strongest elements. Working with our studio production partner PopFizz, our team wrote, filmed and produced a series of 12 videos to showcase the best of each county’s assets and capabilities. Evocative still photography further supported the story with sweeping landscape images and gritty industrial shots that detailed community achievement.
The videos became the introduction in each county’s new economic development website (also designed and built by Designsensory), setting the tone for corporate visitors to explore these unique regions.
Our video partners at PopFizz traveled the state with us to capture images that tell the story of each area’s workforce, education, business, quality of life, innovation and infrastructure. We wove these narrative elements into the websites to highlight the beauty and intangible qualities of each community. These digital elements underscore each county’s individual themes of craftsmanship, dedication, innovation and community.
