The University of Tennessee Medical Center Website

The University of Tennessee Medical Center, UTMC, chose Designsensory as interactive partner to develop a new public website. Together, the site’s information architecture, design and content provide a measured flow of information and guide patients, families and the community to insights and resources. The site builds on the medical center’s tagline “Wisdom For Your Life” as a resource to share hospital-specific info on the Centers of Excellence and simplifies finding a doctor and making an appointment.

Research including an online survey, online A/B testing and focus groups helped establish a foundation of knowledge for the website’s design and content.

At the forefront of research, technology and treatments, the University of Tennessee Medical Center, serving Knoxville and East Tennessee, has a rich history of providing patient-centered care. The hospital is the area’s only level I trauma center, the region’s first certified primary stroke center and East Tennessee’s first dedicated heart hospital.

Designsensory is helping UTMC to develop their mobile-optimized site along with a downloadable smartphone app.
