Marrying corporate with community through media relationships.
Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is dedicated to serving and connecting with the community they have been a part of for more than 80 years. Our public relations efforts began with coordinating the grand opening of a brand new branch in Morristown, Tennessee, in May 2016.
What’s unique about the new branch interior in Morristown is that it was designed to reflect, through historical images, the Credit Union’s commitment to the community they have served. Local historians helped the Credit Union and Designsensory select the images now displayed throughout the branch. The grand opening was covered by local outlets WCRK and Morristown Tribute, in addition to a cover story in Knoxville News Sentinel’s business section. We followed up the Morristown West Grand Opening with another, celebrating the south branch opening in February 2017.
Our public relations efforts don’t stop with grand openings. The Credit Union also owns the naming rights to the Johnson City Cardinal’s stadium, the minor league affiliate of the Saint Louis Cardinals. Using relationships we’ve made over the years, we promoted the first annual Fan Fest among the Johnson City Community. We’ve also participated in promoting other community initiatives, such as movie nights in Roane County.
Most recently, we helped Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union unveil its new Solar Z charging station in Turkey Creek shopping center. The Solar Z is a totally solar-powered bench that provides a place for shoppers to rest their feet and recharge their phones. As the first of its kind in the state, the Solar Z was featured in the Knoxville Business Journal and was picked up, on the wire, by outlets across the southeast.
We’re proud to partner with Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union and help them connect with the East Tennessee community.
