Altar’d State, a cause-based fashion boutique located in Knoxville, Tennessee, has exploded on the scene, with more than 70 stores across the country and still growing. Given so much growth in both brick and mortar stores and online orders, the retailer needed an efficient way to do business online and fulfill orders through its distribution centers.
The staff at Altar’d State was concerned that its existing eCommerce platform would not handle the workload with the amount of growth the company has experienced, due to its website bogging down during periods of heavy traffic and slowing transactions.
To ease growing pains, we moved the company to more distributed and redundant server setups. Custom add-ons manage daily customer service requests and automated order fulfillment through the company’s warehouse. The distributed server system handles assets and file feeds from multiple locations while scaling during heavy traffic periods.
In fact, on 2015’s particularly busy Black Friday, the system easily handled more than 2,000 simultaneous shopping cart sessions.
Our creative tech solutions helped this growing company handle business efficiently and improve customer satisfaction without the time-consuming transfer to another eCommerce platform. As a result, Altar’d State has now surpassed more than $2 million in yearly sales.
